We are nature, remembering.
Hello, and thank you for being here.
Many of the people I work with are searching for a way of living and working that feels whole, connected, and sustainable. My practice weaves together relational healing, ecological identity, and regenerative living to support that search.
At the heart of this are two simple beliefs. Firstly, that every person carries the innate capacity to live and thrive with wisdom and vitality. Secondly, that if we are to contribute positively, as a collective, to the restoration of our ecosystems and ensure the health of our planet for future generations (of all species), we must reawaken the ecological self – that knowing inside us that we are part of nature – and step forward as resourceful, proactive citizens in kinship with the wider web of life.
These beliefs are lived out in the people I work with and the projects I contribute towards.
I was the co-founder and coordinator of the Earthskills Africa initiative and the Earthskills Gathering (South Africa), both of which shaped my understanding of how ecological connection, ancestral skills, and community building can strengthen resilience and belonging.
Alongside my coaching and nature-based work, I bring 25 years of experience as a writer and copy-editor in the South African publishing, communications, and content marketing space. This combination of language expertise and ecological insight enables me to support individuals, teams and purpose-driven businesses to align their messaging with their ecological values and deepen their impact.
I believe in building a steady community of practice in these times of change. As such, regardless of how long we work together, or in what capacity, every client is deeply valued and seen for who they are, and for their unique contributions.
Community offerings include regular workshops and a monthly newsletter, Roots Living, which includes insights, offerings, and conversations with others exploring deeply connected, eco-conscious ways of life (sign-up form below). Coaching and eco-therapy clients also benefit from discounted workshop fees.
While my coaching approach is compassionate and often therapeutic, careful distinctions are drawn between the roles of coach, mentor, psychologist, and counsellor. These may be discussed, and additional support recommended, as required. In some cases, a circle of care – including aligned practitioners – can be deeply supportive.

My story
A lover of the outdoors and wild spaces since childhood, I have always observed and deeply questioned the ways of the world and its beings. Over a decade ago, I found myself at a personal threshold – outwardly settled yet inwardly consumed by a rising sense of disconnection and a persistent call towards something more aligned with the deep care I felt for others, and for the earth. This began a journey of profound personal change and ecological remembering.
During this time of active transition, I immersed myself in the earthskills movement, explored alternative education with my children, embarked on both formal and informal studies in personal transformation, ecological psychology and relational lifeways, and moved through significant shifts in my family life.
Today, I live simply – between mountain, vlei and ocean. My beloved children are moving towards adulthood and are blessed to know life outdoors and away from many of the trappings of contemporary teen culture. There are still challenges, of course, but there is also deep peace and optimism, as my story finds resonance in the stories of so many others.
In my spare time, I explore our local trails, swim, read, write, and deepen my practice in ancestral skills. The process of rekindling connection is alive in me, and it is an honour to share it with you.
“If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear.”
